Hi! I’m Blake Hallinan. I’m an Associate Professor of Platform Studies in the Department of Media & Journalism Studies at Aarhus University, where I research the creator economy.
Bio
Dr. Blake Hallinan is an Associate Professor of Platform Studies in the Department of Media and Journalism Studies at Aarhus University, Principal Investigator of the European Research Council-funded project PAY4PLAY: Entrepreneurial Organizing in the Platform Society, and director of the Creator Economy Lab. They research the industry practices and policy challenges of the creator economy, and teach classes on media, technology, and society. Previously, Blake contributed to the project Digital Values: Construction of Values in Digital Spheres, a cross-national study of social media cultures.
