Bio

Dr. Blake Hallinan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication and Journalism at the Hebrew University and a member of the ERC-funded DigitalValues project. Drawing from communication, information science, and economic sociology, they research the platformization of cultural production, focusing on how creators and the public negotiate algorithmic bias, private governance, and economic precarity. They run the Participatory Platform Governance Lab and teach classes on technology and society, public speaking, and academic writing.
